OSU hockey tops Michigan for Big Ten title

Mason Jobst scored on a breakaway in 3-on-3 double overtime to give the Ohio State men's hockey team its first Big Ten regular season championship courtesy of a 4-3 decision over Michigan on Saturday at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor.
John Wiitala, Brendon Kearney and Carson Meyer all scored in regulation for the fifth-ranked Buckeyes (19-8-5, 12-6-4-3), who earned the top seed and a first-round bye in the Big Ten tournament.
The Wolverines (13-12-7, 9-8-5-2) scored the lone third-period goal to force extra time.
