Women's lacrosse | Ohio State 16, Niagara 12: Sophie Baez shines in Buckeyes win

Sophie Baez totaled a career-high eight points on five goals and three assists to lead Ohio State to a 16-12 win over visiting Niagara.

The Buckeyes (5-1) posted a season-high 11 assists on their 16 goals, and the defense held the Purple Eagles (3-1) to 6 of 11 on the free position.

Ohio State took a 2-0 lead early in the first half and never fell behind, leading by as many as nine goals in the second half. Goalie Jill Rizzo made 11 stops.

Liza Hernandez posted seven points with four goals and three assists for the Buckeyes.
