Softball | Ohio State defeats Idaho State, falls to Seattle

Ohio State defeated Idaho State 9-3 and lost to Seattle 3-0 in back-to-back games in Seattle.
Against Idaho State, Andi Farrah and Kallie Boren had back-to-back homers to spur a three-run fourth inning, and Emily Clark homered, Claire Nicholson had a two-run double and Farrah an RBI triple as the Buckeyes (10-6) scored five times in the seventh.
Lauren Rice (5-1) allowed five hits and two runs with four strikeouts in six innings to pick up the win for OSU.
Earlier against Seattle, the Buckeyes managed only singles by Kaitlyn Coffman, Farrah and Ashley Prange, and weren’t able to score against Shianne Smith, who went the distance and struck out five for the Redhawks (12-8).
Kat Duvall (1-2) allowed a run in the first and left after 2 1/3 innings for OSU. Seattle scored twice in the third.
