Ohio State took a three-run lead into the seventh, but visiting Northwestern (14-14, 4-2) scored four times in that inning and added five in the eighth in posting a 10-4 win at Bill Davis Stadium.
Ohio State (16-16, 2-4) scored three times in the first. Conner Pohl sent a sacrifice fly to center field to score Dominic Canzone.

Dillon Dingler drove in Cherry with an RBI triple into the gap in right-center to make it 2-0.
Ohio State added a third run when Brent Todys was caught stealing on a first-and-third situation, but bought enough time in a rundown to allow Dingler to score.
Ohio State starter Griffan Smith left with a 3-1 lead after six innings. He gave up a solo home run among the six hits he allowed, struck out two and walked one.
