Softball | Ohio State 8, Rutgers 0: Buckeyes rule
Morgan Ray pitched a two-hit shutout, and the Ohio State softball team beat visiting Rutgers 8-0 in a five-inning, run-rule game Sunday.
Ashley Prange got the scoring started for the Buckeyes with a grand slam in the third inning. In the fourth, Claire Nicholson added a two-run homer for Ohio State (23-11, 7-2 Big Ten), which posted its 10th shutout of the season. Kaitlyn Coffman blasted a two-run homer in the fifth.

Ray struck out seven and walked one in five innings against the Scarlet Knights (17-19, 1-8).
Rutgers got its first two batters of the game on via a fielding error and single to left field. But Ray got a pair of strikeouts and a fly ball to right field to end the threat.
