Softball | Ohio State 10, Iowa 0: Game ends early after Buckeyes post 10 runs

Ohio State posted a 10-0 run-rule win over host Iowa.

Right-hander Lauren Rice (16-4) gave up two hits and struck out one in four innings. Kat Duvall retired the side in the fifth.

The Buckeyes (33-15, 16-6) got going early, taking a 5-0 lead after the first inning after a grand slam by Kaitlyn Coffman. Emily Clark added a three-run homer in the second and Lilli Piper added a two-run blast in the third.

The Buckeyes, who will finish in fourth place in the Big Ten, conclude the regular season Sunday against the Hawkeyes (19-30, 5-17).
