Ohio State lost twice in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday and was eliminated from the NCAA softball tournament.
In the first game, Tennessee posted 11 hits on the way to a 12-4 decision over the Buckeyes, who received two Ashley Prange home runs and a Lilli Piper solo shot.
Starting pitcher Morgan Ray logged five innings but took the loss.
The Buckeyes (35-18) were then knocked out by North Carolina 5-3.
Prange again went deep with a two-run homer, but it was not enough.
The Tar Heels scored all their runs in the third inning off Ray (18-10).
