Carson Meyer’s power-play goal in the third period Saturday night was the lone highlight for the Ohio State men’s team, which lost 4-1 at Minnesota, giving the Golden Gophers a sweep of the two-game Big Ten weekend series.
Meyer’s goal 6:30 into the period cut OSU’s deficit to 3-1, but the Buckeyes (15-8-3, 8-6-2-0) gave up a power-play goal two minutes later.
Minnesota (10-10-4, 5-5-4-3) had the edge in shots 38-29. The Golden Gophers also won Friday night, 6-3.
