Despite a 47-28 advantage in shots on goal, fifth-ranked Ohio State lost 4-1 to host Minnesota-Duluth in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.
The No. 9 Bulldogs (15-9-4, 10-7-3) got two goals and an assist from Gabbie Hughes, and Maddie Rooney made 46 saves, including 11 with Ohio State on the power play.
Tatum Skaggs scored the lone goal for the Buckeyes (17-8-5, 10-6-4).
