Carson Meyer had five goals and an assist as Ohio State swept Wisconsin in a best-of-three series on Friday and Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten men’s hockey tournament at Value City Arena.
The Buckeyes crushed Wisconsin 9-1 on Friday night in the opener, and they notched a 2-1 overtime win Saturday.
Goalie Tommy Nappier had 29 saves for Ohio State in Saturday’s victory, and freshman Jaedon Leslie scored the winning goal just 1:12 into overtime.
The Buckeyes now face Michigan next Sunday, March 15, in Nationwide Arena in the Big Ten semifinals.
