Off the Block, a website devoted to coverage of college men’s volleyball, has renamed one its annual awards in honor of a former Ohio State standout.
Off the Block’s annual International Player of the Year honor will be known as the Nicolas Szerszen Award.
Szerszen, a native of Paris, led the Buckeyes to national titles in 2016 and 2017.
The award is presented to the best non-U.S. born player in NCAA Division I and II men’s volleyball based on a vote by a nationwide committee of coaches and media members.
