MADISON, Wis. — The Ohio State women's tennis team defeated Michigan 4-1 on Sunday to win the Big Ten tournament title.

The title is the third in program history, all under coach Melissa Schaub. The top-seeded Buckeyes, also the Big Ten regular-season co champs this year, also won the 2016 and ’17 league tournament crowns.

It was Ohio State's 13th win in a row and earned the Buckeyes (21-3) a seventh straight trip to the NCAA tournament.

Ohio State won the doubles point, then got straight-set singles wins from Lucia Marzal and Luna Dormet. After a Michigan (17-2) win, Lisa Hofbauer provided the clinching point.

Hofbauer was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and was joined by Dormet on the all-tournament team.
