Ohio State advances three boats to NCAA rowing semifinals

All three Ohio State women’s rowing entries advanced to the semifinals in the NCAA Championships on Friday in Sarasota, Florida.

The Buckeyes finished second in the opening First Varsity Eight race while both the Second Varsity Eight and First Varsity Four won their respective heats. 

OSU's First Varsity Four and Second Varsity Eight boats are seeded No. 6. The First Varsity Eight is seeded No. 7.

The Buckeyes are one of 22 teams competing at the championships. OSU has been in 20 of the past 22 championships and won national titles in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The Buckeyes finished fifth in 2019, the last time the event was held.
