Four-star receiver Kojo Antwi commits to Ohio State football for 2022
Ohio State has received a verbal commitment from Kojo Antwi, a four-star wide receiver from Suwanee, Georgia, adding to the Buckeyes’ surplus of pass catchers in their recruiting class for 2022.
Antwi revealed his decision on Monday, a little more than two weeks after visiting OSU. He also toured Georgia, Texas A&M and Southern California last month as the recruiting dead period was lifted by the NCAA, allowing for high school prospects to visit schools across the country.
But the date also coincided with his mother’s 60th birthday, prompting the announcement, according to a feature published by 247Sports.
A versatile receiver who could line up as an outside receiver or in the slot, Antwi caught 44 passes for 795 yards and nine touchdowns last fall as a junior at Lambert High School. He’s listed as 6 feet and 190 pounds.
The Buckeyes previously received pledges from three other wide receivers in this cycle, including Caleb Burton, a five-star who is ranked as the second-best receiver prospect for 2022. Four-stars Kaleb Brown and Kyion Grayes committed earlier this year.
While Brown is from Chicago, the others all hail from outside the Midwest. Antwi is from suburban Atlanta, while Burton is from Austin, Texas, and Grayes is from Chandler, Arizona.
They’re also all top-151 prospects in the class. Antwi is ranked as the No. 115 overall prospect in the class by the 247Sports composite.
Ohio State's 2022 recruiting class, which remains atop the national rankings, now includes a total of 16 verbal commits.
