Ohio State football recruiting has likely never been better than it is during the 2022 cycle.
The Buckeyes had the No.2 recruiting class in the 2021 cycle with six five-star recruits, according to 247Sports, arriving on campus. Ohio State landed one of the best players in the country this summer when J.T. Tuimoloau committed and enrolled at Ohio State.
So yeah, things are going well for Ohio State and third-year coach Ryan Day.
While Ohio State finished second to Alabama in the last recruiting class, according to 247Sports, the Buckeyes enter the 2021 season with the current top class in the 2022 cycle. Ohio State has three five-star recruits committed and 12 more four-star prospects.

The top commit so far is Quinn Ewers, a quarterback from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas. Ewers decommitted from the University of Texas last year.
C.J. Hicks, a standout linebacker from Dayton, is the top prep player in Ohio.
The class is likely to grow before the first of two national signing days on Dec. 15 and Feb. 2. Players who sign early in December could potentially join the Buckeyes program for spring football if they graduate early from high school.
