Star QB recruit Quinn Ewers possibly joining Ohio State early causes a social media frenzy

There is no quarterback better in the 2022 class than Ohio State football commit Quinn Ewers, judging by most recruiting websites.

Judging by the latest reporting, you can forget 2022. Ewers could be a Buckeye in 2021.

According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports, Ewers is leaning toward skipping his senior season of high school and enrolling at Ohio State early. 

Money is the main reason.

As the quarterback at Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, Ewers cannot be compensated for use of his name, image and likeness. But as a college athlete in Ohio, he could be.

Some Buckeyes are already making money. Chances are Ewers would earn considerably more. Ewers is already popular on social media with nearly 23,000 Twitter followers and more than 80,000 followers on Instagram.

Thamel reports that Ewers, who is 18, could make upwards of seven digits. And before you do the finger math, that is at least $1 million.
