Ohio State freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson broke a 49-year-old Ohio State football record against Tulsa as he rumbled for a 52-yard touchdown against Tulsa on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
Henderson, a five-star recruit and one of the most sought-after running backs of the 2021 recruiting class, broke loose for a key touchdown against Tulsa that put him at 243 yards in the game.
It gave him the most single-game rushing yards for a freshman running back in Ohio State history.
The run broke two-time Heisman Trophy Winner Archie Griffin's 1972 record of 239 yards against North Carolina.
Henderson's touchdown was his third of the day and gave the Buckeyes a 27-13 lead in the third quarter and came after a scoring drive by Tulsa.
