Why the Ohio State Band did 'Script Ohio' twice against Maryland

The Ohio State Band is famous for performing its "Script Ohio" routine before the opening kickoff inside Ohio Stadium, but on Saturday the band did it twice. 

With Ohio State leading Maryland 35-10 during the 2021 homecoming game, the Best Damn Band in the Land performed its famous routine again following its normal halftime show.

This caught the eye of Columbus Dispatch columnist Rob Oller, who wondered why the band was repeating itself and dotting the famous "i" again. 

Like so many things, 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic is why the march was done twice. 

The band responded to Oller in a tweet and explained:
