Meet the Nittany Lions: Penn State football depth chart against Ohio State

The Columbus Dispatch

Penn State football’s road to the Big Ten Championship Game became a lot more difficult last week when the then-ranked No. 7 team in the country lost to Illinois in Happy Valley.

It took nine overtimes for it to happen, but the Nittany Lions tripped before their 7:30 p.m. Saturday showdown against Ohio State in Columbus.

The health of starting quarterback Sean Clifford was a big factor against Illinois and will be a big factor this week against OSU. Clifford suffered the injury earlier in the season and has been limited for several weeks. Ta’Quan Roberson has played in his place.

Penn State coach James Franklin, who recently changed agents as his name has been connected to the USC football job, said Clifford should play against the Buckeyes.
