Ohio State’s recruiting class for 2023 has added its second verbal commitment in Joshua Padilla, a four-star offensive lineman from Dayton.

Padilla, who attends Wayne High School in Huber Heights, announced his decision on Thursday, picking the Buckeyes over other Big Ten schools such as Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State, as well as Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect had visited Columbus in September for games against Akron and Oregon.

The composite rankings from 247Sports list him as Ohio’s top offensive lineman and the nation’s ninth-best interior lineman in the 2023 cycle.

Four-star tight end Ty Lockwood became the Buckeyes’ first 2023 pledge when he committed in August.
