Ohio State women's basketball's Madison Greene to miss 2021-2022 season with knee injury

Ohio State guard Madison Greene averaged 13.4 points and 4.3 assists per game last year.

Due to a knee injury that requires surgery, Ohio State women's basketball point guard Madison Greene will miss the 2021-22 season. 

Greene, a junior out of Pickerington, averaged 13.4 points and 4.3 assists per game last year. She earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention for her play in 15 starts. She missed the final five games of the season for undisclosed reasons, and OSU lost four of those games.

"We will certainly miss her ability to lead and to make those around her better," said coach Kevin McGuff." With her incredible work ethic, I have no doubt she’ll make a full recovery."

Senior guard Taylor Mikesell is eligible to play after the NCAA made their ruling on the Oregon transfer's availability. Her status was in question until this week.
