C.J. Stroud wins Big Ten honors again after huge game vs. Michigan State

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud has won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors for his six-touchdown performance last week against Michigan State.

Stroud, a redshirt freshman, completed 32 of 35 passes for 432 yards. All six of his touchdown passes came in the first half as Ohio State took a 49-0 lead over the No. 7 Spartans on its way to a 56-7 vic

At one point, Stroud completed 17 straight passes, an OSU record. Stroud played only one possession in the third quarter before Ryan Day turned to backups.

It is the seventh time Stroud has won Freshman of the Week honors and the second time he has been the conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Stroud is now the Heisman Trophy front-runner. He has thrown for 36 touchdowns with only five interceptions.
