Former Ohio State football quarterback Quinn Ewers announces he is heading to Texas

Former Ohio State quarterback Quinn Ewers is transferring to Texas.
Ewers tweeted the news Sunday.
"Hey Alexa play 'Take Me to Texas' by @GeorgeStrait #HookEm," he posted.
This was accompanied by a photoshopped image of Ewers in a Longhorns jersey.
Texas is not heading to a bowl game after going 5-7 under first-year coach Steve Sarkisian and finishing seventh in the Big 12. Ewers will be eligible to play there for four years.
Ewers also reportedly visited Texas Tech and TCU since entering the transfer portal.
Ewers spent four months at Ohio State, in that time seeing the field for just two snaps at the end of a lopsided 56-7 win over Michigan State. He handed the ball off twice to Robert Cope.
Ewers joined the Buckeyes shortly after the start of fall camp in August, skipping his senior season at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas, because state law prohibited him from making money off his name, image and likeness due to the fact that he wasn't yet a college student.
Once he arrived on Ohio State's campus, the former five-star recruit made more than $1 million by agreeing to sign autographs for GT Sports Marketing and by becoming a pitchman for a Texas-based beverage company.
Coach Ryan Day said he was caught off guard by Ewers' decision, but that he wished him "nothing but the best of luck moving forward."
Day still has Heisman finalist C.J. Stroud for next season. Sources have told The Dispatch that former five-star recruit Kyle McCord is set to return as Stroud's backup.
Also, four-star prospect Devin Brown committed to Ohio State earlier this month.
