Ohio State walk-on quarterback J.P. Andrade has entered the NCAA's transfer portal, The Dispatch has learned.

The junior joins fellow walk-on Jagger LaRoe in the portal. Scholarship quarterbacks Jack Miller and Quinn Ewers entered the portal earlier. Miller transferred to Florida, and Ewers to Texas, the program to which he originally committed.

Andrade enrolled at Ohio State as a preferred walk-on in 2019. He did not appear in a game for the Buckeyes.

The La Verne, California, native threw for 4,366 yards and 39 touchdowns at Bonita High School. He had scholarship offers from South Alabama, Fordham and Morehead State.

Assuming Andrade and LaRoe depart, Ohio State will have only two quarterbacks on the roster — C.J. Stroud and Kyle McCord — until freshman Devin Brown arrives in January.
