Ohio State's Mikulasikova records double-double to help Buckeyes down Wildcats

Ohio State's Rebeka Mikulasikova recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds against Northwestern for her second double-double of the season.

Ohio State's Rebeka Mikulasikova won the opening tip and scored the first seven points of the game as the Buckeyes (11-3, 3-2 Big Ten) rolled to a 74-61 win over Northwestern (10-4, 2-1 Big Ten).

Mikulasikova finished the game with 16 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

“She came out of Christmas break in a little bit of a funk, but she really did a good job in practice, and I was really proud of her effort today," said coach Kevin McGuff. "She was great. It was fun to see. I’m happy for her.”

Jacy Sheldon led OSU with 20 points, while she added four assists and three steals.

Sheldon and Taylor Mikesell continued their streak of having scored in double figures in every game this season. 

Ohio State's next game is Wednesday when the Buckeyes host Michigan State at 7 p.m.
