Ohio State is at the NCAA scholarship maximum following the passing of the transfer portal deadline.

Sunday was the cutoff date for players to enter the portal and receive immediate eligibility for the coming season.

Over the previous month, seven Buckeyes had put their names in the online database, bringing Ohio State within the limit.

The overall scholarship cap of 85 returns this fall after rosters sizes had been larger last season.

The NCAA’s Division I Council in 2021 exempted players who were using their extra year of eligibility due to the coronavirus pandemic, a group known as “super seniors,” from the 85-man limit. The exemption did not continue this year.

Below is a breakdown of the Buckeyes’ scholarship players for 2022, as compiled by The Dispatch.
