The Ohio State women's basketball team will play the Texas Longhorns in the Sweet 16 in the Spokane Regional of the NCAA Tournament. 

The No. 6 seed Buckeyes beat No. 3 seed LSU 79-64 on Monday in Baton Rouge. The Buckeyes, which hadn't made the NCAA Tournament since 2018, return to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2017. The Buckeyes went to back-to-back Sweet 16s in 2016 and 2017.

The No. 2 seed Longhorns won the Big 12 Tournament and advanced to the second weekend with a 78-56 win over No. 7 seed Utah. The Longhorns are coached by Vic Schaefer, who took Mississippi State to two Final Four appearances before taking the Texas job.
