Ohio State Buckeyes finish eighth in NCAA women's golf regional

Ohio State finished eighth in an NCAA women's golf regional in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Wednesday.

The Buckeyes shot 298 Wednesday, their best round of the 54-hole tournament, to finish at 50-over-par 902. The four teams advancing to the national tournament are San Jose State (10-over), Virginia (13-over), Arkansas (28-over) and Michigan (28-over).

Faith Choi was Ohio State's top individual, tying for 26th at 11-over. Lauren Peter shot the best round of the final day for the Buckeyes with a 73 to finish tied for 32nd at 13-over.

Natasha Andrea Oon of San Jose State was the individual medalist at 6-under.
