Ohio State's men's hockey team is heading to Cleveland to take on Michigan.

In the rollout of the Buckeyes 2022-23 schedule Monday, the team announced it would take part in the "Faceoff on the Lake," taking on rival Michigan for the first hockey game ever played at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland Feb. 16.

“This is a great opportunity for our program,” Ohio State men's hockey coach Steve Rohlik said. “We are excited to have the chance to play in a rivalry game outdoors in the home of the Browns. It is an experience that will create memories for a lifetime.”

Ohio State will also take on Michigan at Yost Ice Arena Jan. 13-14 and at the Schottenstein Center Feb. 16.

It will be Ohio State's fourth outdoor game and second against Michigan in Cleveland, having previously met at Progressive Field in January 2012. The Buckeyes also played against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 2006 and against Minnesota at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis in 2014.

Tickets for Ohio State's matchup with Michigan in Cleveland can be purchased through the athletic department's usual ticket outlets. Season ticket holders will have a special pre-sale opportunity, while Cleveland Browns and Columbus Crew season ticket members will have early access to "Faceoff on the Lake" tickets starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 29.

Ohio State will open the 2022-23 season on the road with a two-game set against Mercyhurst Oct. 1-2 and a two-game series against Connecticut Oct. 14-15 before opening its home schedule against Bentley Oct. 20.
