The Ohio State Buckeyes huddle prior to the start of the NCAA men's basketball game against the Akron Zips at Value City Arena in Columbus on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021.

The Ohio State men’s basketball team is at full capacity for the 2022-23 season.

Unlike last season, when teams could exceed scholarship limits in order to honor the extra year afforded to all players who participated in the 2020-21 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic, NCAA men’s college basketball teams are back to 13 allowable scholarship players for the upcoming season.

Entering his sixth season with the program, Buckeyes coach Chris Holtmann will fill each spot with a mix of old and young and a lot of new faces. Only five of the 15 players return from last season, and of those five only two played more than two games last season. A five-man freshman class ranked No. 6 nationally and tops in the Big Ten by will join with a three-man transfer class to bring eight new faces to the program.

It’s a lot of change. With that in mind, here’s what the 2022-23 Ohio State men’s basketball roster looks like.
