Former Ohio State football defensive lineman Cormontae Hamilton transferring to Memphis
Former Ohio State defensive lineman Cormontae Hamilton is heading to Memphis.
Hamilton, a native of Memphis, announced on Monday that he was transferring to his hometown school, reuniting with former Buckeyes assistant Matt Barnes who is now the Tigers’ defensive coordinator.
“I’m Coming Home,” he wrote in a tweet announcing the move.
Hamilton did not participate in spring practice with the Buckeyes after entering the transfer portal in February.
He first joined the Buckeyes as a tight end in 2019 before switching to the defensive side of the ball the following year. Appearing in seven games as a reserve last season, finishing with three tackles and a sack.
