Former Ohio State defensive lineman Noah Potter will play for Luke Fickell at Cincinnati

Staff Reports
Noah Potter totaled two tackles in four games with Ohio State in 2020 before sitting out with injuries last year. He has now transferred to Cincinnati.

Former Ohio State defensive lineman Noah Potter is joining the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Potter entered the transfer portal a short time after registering six tackles and two sacks in the Buckeyes' spring game. Monday night he tweeted news about his destination, writing: "How 'bout them Bearcats."

During his three seasons at OSU, Potter saw limited playing time, but that was due in part to the fact that he was sidelined for all of last fall. Potter first suffered a foot injury and then needed emergency eye surgery in October to repair a torn retina.

Portal tracker: Who's going where?

He appeared in four games in 2020, when he totaled two tackles. His listed size of 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds meant that he could line up at defensive end or tackle.

The Mentor native was regarded as a four-star prospect coming out of high school, and 247Sports had him ranked as the No. 6 player in Ohio.
