Ohio State football's season officially kicks off Thursday. 

Coach Ryan Day and the rest of the Buckeyes are set to take the practice field Thursday for the first of 25 practices ahead of their season opener against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at Ohio Stadium

Ohio State is coming off a 2021 season where two regular-season losses to Oregon and Michigan kept the Buckeyes out of the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2018.

When does fall camp open? 

Ohio State football's fall training camp opens Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. 

How many practice sessions will Ohio State hold before the season starts? 

Ohio State will hold 25 practices between Aug. 4 and Sept. 2. All practices between Aug. 4-22 will begin at 9:30 a.m. before the first day of classes Aug. 23. Ohio State will then start at 4:30 p.m. for the remaining nine practices of fall.

Are fall camp practices open to the public? 

Ohio State's fall camp practices are not open to the public. 

When is Ohio State football's first game of the 2022 season? 

Ohio State will open the 2022 season at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3 against Notre Dame at Ohio Stadium.
