While Ohio State football's offense struggled Saturday against Northwestern, the Buckeyes still made college football history.

With a two-yard touchdown run by running back Miyan Williams in the fourth quarter, Ohio State broke the Football Bowl Subdivision record for most consecutive games with 20 or more points.

Ohio State finished its 21-7 win against Northwestern with 283 yards of offense and 13 first downs, averaging 4.6 yards per play.

After tying Oklahoma's record of 69 last week against Penn State, which the Sooners set from 2016-21, Ohio State recorded its 70th-straight game of at least 20 points.

Starting with a 38-17 win against Army Sept. 17, 2017, the Buckeyes' streak includes only 15 games where the offense scored less than 30 points coming into Saturday.

USC had a streak of 63 games from 2002-06, while Oklahoma State had a record of 58 from 2010-14.
