Ohio State football has officially started its spring schedule.

The Buckeyes took the practice field Tuesday morning for its first of 15 workouts culminating in Ohio State's spring game April 15 at Ohio Stadium.

Tuesday's practice was the first of two practices this week before Ohio State goes on spring break, returning to the practice field March 21 for the first of four-straight weeks of three practices or more.

After Ohio State's first practice of the spring, Ohio State coach Ryan Day is scheduled to answer questions and discuss the Buckeyes' progress as the spring season gets underway.

Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles is expected to follow Day at the podium.

What are Ohio State's spring practice dates?

Ohio State will hold 15 spring practices ending with the spring game April 15. Here's when the Buckeyes will be on the practice field.

  • Week 1: March 7, 9
  • Week 2: Spring Break
  • Week 3: March 21, 23, 25
  • Week 4: March 28, 30, April 1
  • Week 5: April 3, 5, 7
  • Week 6: April 10, 12, 14, 15 (Spring Game)
