Who MTSU football added on national signing day
National signing day has come and gone for Middle Tennessee.
After signing 14 players on the first day of the early signing period back in December, MTSU signed nine more on Wednesday, bringing a close to the 2019 class with 23 signees.
The class filled needs at a number of different positions for coach Rick Stockstill and his staff. MTSU might have its replacement for quarterback Brent Stockstill in Randall Johnson, who signed with the Blue Raiders back in December.
MTSU also filled in needs at offensive line, linebacker and in the secondary.
Here are the players who signed their national letters of intent on Wednesday:

Blessed Trinity (Rosswell, Ga.)

The final word: Bivens has long been committed to the Blue Raiders but decided to wait until national signing day before officially signing. Bivens earned all-state honors his senior season en route to a state championship.
WR, 5-7, 151
Berkeley (Moncks Corner, S.C.)

The final word: Chisolm was previously committed to East Carolina, but decided to back away from that pledge and instead landed with MTSU. As a junior, Chisolm had more than 1,500 yards of offense and 17 touchdowns.

McCallie School (Chattanooga)

The final word: Dunnigan is being recruited to play outside linebacker but has the size and frame to grow into a defensive end. He had 110 tackles and four sacks last season.

Highland (Kan.) Community College (Chicago)

The final word: Jones has not been playing football long, picking up the sport as a junior in high school. He landed at Highland Community College and has transitioned into an offensive lineman. Jones is being recruited to play guard and might slowly be worked into playing tackle.

The final word: Kinley's father, Richard Kinley Sr., played for the Blue Raiders from 1987-90. Kinley recorded 15.5 sacks in his three seasons at Lausanne.

The final word: Leak committed to the Blue Raiders on Monday. He helped lead Heard County to a state championship in 2018 and set a school record with 140 tackles.

The final word: McDonald is a speedy running back who has been told the staff plans to utilize him in a number of ways like current MTSU player Brad Anderson. McDonald rushed for 1,313 yards and 10 touchdowns for Laney College in 2018.

The final word: Myers-Glover was a late pickup for the Blue Raiders; he committed on Tuesday night. 247Sports listed him with offers from Louisville, Florida International and Louisiana Tech.

The final word: Wood was previously committed to Temple but decided to open things up in early January. MTSU came in and was able to land Wood, who is one of the top 150 players in Georgia, according to 247Sports.
