ESPN expands agreement with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions for 'ManningCast', other sports
ESPN extended and expanded their partnership with Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and his production company, which will bring more "ManningCasts" as well as alternative viewing options for other sports, the network said Wednesday.
Manning's production company, Omaha Productions, brought the successful "Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli" to ESPN during the 2021 season and that program will continue through the 2024 season.
The network also said they will collaborate with Omaha Productions and bring alternative broadcasts with other hosts for UFC, college football and golf. College football alternative viewing telecasts will be for regular-season and post-season matchups, as well as the College Football Playoff National Championship.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli and the partnership we’ve developed with Peyton, Eli and the team at Omaha Productions," Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN and Sports Content, said. "This new agreement allows us to deepen our relationship and explore original concepts to spread that magic to other sports and events. Ultimately, this will help grow our audience by providing fans with even more creative options that they crave.”
"Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli" was a ratings hit for ESPN, easily drawing over a million viewers per week for the 10-game slate this past season.
“I’ve always loved talking football with my brother, and it was even more fun to do it while watching ESPN’s Monday Night Football," said Peyton Manning. "Eli and I are excited to sign on for another season, and the entire Omaha team is looking forward to producing MegaCasts that celebrate other sports.”
