The Ohio State women’s basketball team on Friday announced the signing of a five-player 2019 class.
The class, which ESPN ranks third behind South Carolina and Maryland, includes four players — Kierstan Bell, Rikki Harris, Kaelynn Satterfield and Jacy Sheldon — in the top 50 of the ESPN Hoopgurlz rankings for 2019 as well as Spanish forward Aixa Wone.
Coach Kevin McGuff’s 2019 class includes two players from Ohio.
Bell, ranked No. 6 in the 2019 class by ESPN, averaged 33.3 points and 9.6 rebounds for Canton McKinley last season to repeat as Ohio Ms. Basketball.
Joining Bell at Ohio State next season is a finalist for last season’s Ohio Ms. Basketball award, Sheldon of Dublin Coffman. The 5-foot-7 guard, ranked 41st in the class by ESPN, committed to the Buckeyes last November before averaging a Dublin Coffman record 26.3 points as a junior.

Harris, according to ESPN the No. 24 player in the class, led Indianapolis North Central High School to a 27-1 record as a sophomore. The 5-7 guard averaged 17.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in the first 12 games of her 2017-18 season before missing the rest of the season with an injury.
Satterfield, a 6-0 wing from Christ The King Regional High School in Queens, New York, averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists as a junior. Her team finished last season ranked No. 7 in the USA Today Super 25.
Wone, a 6-2 forward from Pamplona, Spain who initially committed to the Buckeyes in May, joins the Buckeyes a year later than expected. The No. 15-ranked international prospect — according ProspectsNation.com — has been playing with a Barcelona club team as an amateur.
