Jacy Sheldon scored seven points in overtime and Ohio State outlasted host Cincinnati 78-73 Wednesday night at Fifth Third Arena.

Sheldon, who scored all of her points in OT, scored on a pair of fast-break layups and hit a three-pointer for a 75-71 lead before Janai Crooms converted three consecutive free throws to seal the victory.

Braxtin Miller led the Buckeyes (2-0) with 18 points, Madison Greene added 13 and Dorka Juhasz 12.

Cincinnati (1-2) tested OSU with its defense, scoring 26 points off 21 turnovers. The Bearcats also outrebounded the Buckeyes 46-38, which included 16 second-chance points.

The Buckeyes, however, led 39-29 early in the third quarter and 59-53 with 5:27 remaining before giving way to Antoinette Miller, who scored Cincinnati's last seven points in leading the Bearcats on a 9-3 run to force overtime.

Ilmar'I Thomas shot 7 of 19 from the field and made 11 free throws for 25 points for the Bearcats. Antoinette Miller posted 20 points and made all seven of her free-throw attempts.

OSU has now won five straight over Cincinnati and leads the overall series 21-4.
